The design of this stunning Men’s Fair Isle V Neck Jumper is derived from a jumper that was knitted in Fair Isle for the Prince of Wales, the future King Edward VIII
This jumper is woven in Shetland to a Fair Isle design based on the original jumper that was given to the Prince of Wales as a gift by James A Smith, a Shetland hosiery dealer
The Prince was portrayed wearing the jumper, holding his favourite dog, in 1921. The portrait was painted by John St Helier Lander (1868-1944)
This image is said to have started the fashion for Fair Isle knitwear in 1920s – the Prince is shown wearing the jumper and holding a terrier, dressed for golf

These jumpers are sized by chest measurements – they are a snug fit
Our jumper is woven in the traditional Fair Isle pattern in shades of teal, fawn, tangerine, yellow and nut brown
With a v neck and detail to the cuffs and bottom of the jumper knitted in double rib design in shades of teal and fawn
Hand wash, dry flat
