Nature Notes is back with a bumper Summer edition as we have received so many requests for our quarterly newsletter. You couldn’t fail to notice the extraordinary Strawberry Moon at the end of June, when we were all experiencing unusually warm weather. A full moon aptly named as it coincides with the strawberry harvest, also known as the Rose Moon or Hot Moon. This moon appeared to dominate our night skies because it was sitting so low on the horizon. This won’t happen again until 2043!!!
