Here are more snaps from our weekend in Hay. This time they’re of our friend Athene English’s fabulous shop, The Great English Outdoors. Athene has been trading for over 30 years and is a specialist in leather and also in antique Welsh blankets. But there’s much more here; jumpers, boots, dog collars, coasters, mugs, vintage maps, horn spoons…..you get the idea. Athene has a lovely lurcher, rides a motorbike, knows how to make stuff, fishes and works leather. That all sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? Click on the link in the title above to view her site.
