This stunning Tribal Textile TC32 was woven by the Ewe Tribe, renowned as the best weavers in Ghana
This cloth would have been worn by a woman around the waist
Dating from about 1940 in what was British Togoland
White and blue were the favoured colours of the weavers, the blue indigo dye was one of the easiest to use
This is woven in narrow strips and hand sewn together
